Garage Sale is back!

April 27, 2009

You asked for it, I had trouble deciding on a date, but finally the next Garage Sale is scheduled.  It will be on May 16 & 17– the week after Mothers’ Day, the weekend before Memorial Day. Oy– May’s a busy month!

Here’s how it works: Full tables rent for $10, half tables for $5. You bring your stuff, labelled with the price you’re asking and the number we give you. (If you’d like to split a table with someone, be sure to ask for more than one number, so it’s easy to split up the proceeds. ) We staff the sale, ring everything up, and give you 100% of  the proceeds as a gift card, OR half the proceeds in cash.

That couldn’t be easier, could it? So if you’d like to sign up, you can find the contract here. Fill it out, bring it in with payment, or fax it back and we’ll charge your card and call you with your garage sale number.  We ask for your card number (and keep it safe) so that, should you no-show without 48 hours notice, we can charge your card $50. We’d rather not do that, though– we’d prefer you call us to say you can’t participate, so we can give your spot to someone from the waiting list.

Sign up now, before we’re all full (again). We look forward to seeing you as a seller or a shopper on May 16 & 17!

October 17, 2008

We are holding another one of our fun GARAGE SALES at the store. The sale starts at 10:00am tomorrow (Oct. 18th) and will go until we close at 6:00pm. Happy Shopping!

New Basic Grey!

August 15, 2008

The new Basic Grey lines are in the store! I’m sure you received the latest email explaining all about them. Hurry quick it is flying out the door. I was able to snag a few pieces for samples.

Here is a Bella card using the new BG line called “Ambrosia”

I don’t have much else to post about. I have been watching the Olympics all week and working on cards from my next card class. It is on Sept 4th from 6:00-8:00pm. Come in to the store to see the class samples! Hope to see you at the GARAGE SALE this weekend!

What to do this weekend:

May 14, 2008

That’s right, Scrapbook Destination is having their first garage sale this weekend, Saturday – May 17th. And we sold out of tables fast! If you have goodies you’d like to sell, don’t worry because we will have another one on August 16. (We’ll start taking sign-ups at the store this weekend.)  Our customers will be bringing in their goods to sell in our store. Come visit us and see what kind of bargains you can find!

And to make it just a little more interesting let’s do a drawing: I will be giving away some goodies too, after all, it is a garage sale and I need to unload some of my own goods! The drawing is for locals only as you will need to be able to come pick up your winnings at our store.

How it works: Please post a comment to this blog entry and I will enter your name into the drawing. AND if you link to this blog entry on ‘your’ blog you will get an extra entry into the drawing.  Send your blog post link to:

Want still another entry into the drawing? Subscribe to the blog feed, there on the right, to get our blog entries e-mailed to you (almost) daily.  Be sure to use the same address you use in your comment post, so we know who to enter! I will have our lovely store owner, Mary Kay, choose a name on May 23, and we will contact you after that. You have a little over a week– spread the word and get your name in now!

Look forward to seeing you this weekend for our garage sale!

Creative cheers, Rachel

Big Events Coming Up!

April 4, 2008

May and June are going to be busy months at Scrapbook Destination! The first weekend in May (National Scrapbook Day!) is our first anniversary, and we’re celebrating with a weekend-long array of sales, prizes, and surprises! On Saturday, May 3, we’ll have a day-long make-n-take Frenzy, featuring ten different projects, some of them free! We’ll have five great projects in the morning from 10:00 to 1:00, then five different projects from 1:00 to 4:00! Spend the day with us making projects, with a break for lunch at one of the delicious restaurants nearby.

The weekend of May 17th we’ll be having our first Garage Sale! This is a great way to turn unused supplies into credit to buy the newest stuff. Buy a table for $10 (or a half table for $5), and use the tags we provide to price your products. We’ll staff it for you, and you receive 100% of the proceeds as a Scrapbook Destination gift card. What could be easier? And don’t forget to shop for bargains all weekend long, too! Watch for more details via e-mail.

Then, from June 20 to 29, we’ll be participating in the first Rocky Mountain Scrapaganza Shop Hop. You will be able to buy a passport from your “home” store, then you’ll have ten days to get to as many participating stores as possible. Those who complete the entire passport will be entered into a huge Grand Prize drawing, with a $25 gift certificate from each participating store. If you visit a certain number of stores, you can enter a drawing at our store for other great prizes! Watch for details on this via e-mail, too.

We’re excited to kick the summer off right.

[and don’t forget you can subscribe to this blog by e-mail via the link at the right, so you never miss any news!]
