More Frenzy Projects & A Chance to WIN!

May 1, 2009

I promised you more images of Frenzy projects, and here they are! Barb’s going to be dyeing silk scarves with alcohol inks and pens, and each result is totally unique. Here’s mine (I have a thing for green and purple, as my scrap buddies can tell you):

And, after a brief break last month for the 3D Frenzy, Christyn’s layouts are back. This time she’s doing two, to catch us up:

And how about a luggage tag, personalized just for her?

There’s also an adorable pot of “flowers” that are really pens:

AMAZING 3D/Pop-Up Frenzy Projects

April 8, 2009

So we had to put it off a week because of the Storm That Never Came… but that just gave you another week to anticipate the greatness! You may have seen Karen’s samples; in the morning, an Easter-themed project:

And in the afternoon, she’s cut the pop-up ball out of transparency (she’s used travel photos here, but I think this one would be ideal for a graduation present, with pictures of the graduate over the years):

Wanna see the other amazing samples? You already know that we have the most talented staff anywhere, right? Well, let me confirm that for you.  Each designer took one of Karen’s dies and made two projects with it. First, Kelly and the cake:

These photos don’t do it justice; you can’t even see the bling on the wedding cake. Wait until you see it in person! Next, Barbara used the spinning platform for a graduation card and a birthday card:

Christyn had the house, which she turned into a little red schoolhouse, and made a welcome card:

Houston went off-road with the hearts; she made a butterfly! (She also made an adorable card with a “hug,” but you’ll have to wait to see that one.)

Tara has used the beach chair die to great effect in a Fathers’ Day card and a retirement card:

And, finally, Rachel worked her magic on two versions of the tree:

Did I tell you? Fabulous, right? Drop in between 10:00 and 1:00, or between 1:30 and 4:30, and make as many projects as you like. Karen’s projects will be seated in “flights”– five people make the project, then get up and five more sit down… and they’re $5 each. The other projects are $3 apiece, and will be seated in come-and-go fashion. Pay when you’re done.

See you Saturday!

Now on to our second year…

May 7, 2008

Thanks to everyone who attended our big First Anniversary Celebration. We were CRAZY busy, and it was great to see all of you! The make-n-takes were very well-received, and we hope you’ll visit our Frenzies again in the future. The next ones are June 7 and July 12– mark your calendars now!

We have some new stuff in the store, too. We just got the Krafter’s Purse, an excellent storage tote that has an optional carousel so you can spin it on your table for easy access.

There’s the KomfyKush, too, a seat cushion with pockets on the side to store your trimmer and often-accessed tools. (I always imagine the Shootout At The OK Corral music– you know, the whistling– when I pull my paper trimmer out of the “holster” on the side.) Plus, it keeps your tush comfy while you crop!

Come test it out in the store!

May 3, 2008

Today’s the big Anniversary Frenzy at Scrapbook Destination, and we’re doing a Supersized version of our very popular Make-n-Take events. This morning, 10:00 to 1:00, we’ll have five fantastic projects to make and take, including at least one free one. Then, from 1:00 to 4:00, we’ll have five DIFFERENT projects, again with at least one free one. They’d make excellent mothers’ day and teachers’ gifts– you won’t want to miss this. Plus, we’re having a Bingo-style drawing; you draw a Bingo ball after we ring you up and if the two digits match the last two digits of your ticket, you get HALF OFF the entire ticket!

Then, tomorrow we’re doing a HUGE super-secret discount day. There will be 25% discounts on SIX different categories of products. Drop in and see what we’ve got up our sleeves! And while you’re here this weekend, be sure to register for our Grand Prize Drawing. See you there!
