Homework Door Hanger

Home Decor With Houston – Homework Door Hanger

Now that school is about to start I thought it would be fun to make a door hanger to identify when you are not to be disturbed!

Supplies Needed:

1 thick piece of chipboard

1 large hole punch or a glass to trace

craft knife

paper scraps (the papers I used are from a new Scenic Route line, it should be here any day!)

chipboard letters (green are Scenic Route, the rest are Thickers from American Crafts)

embellishments

Embellishment Glue Stick from Pioneer

Instructions:

Draw a door hanger shape onto your chipboard.  Cut it out with scissors or a craft knife.  Punch a large circle and adhere to the place where you would like your doorknob hole.  Cute an x shape through the circle with a craft knife then trim around the outside of the circle.

Now you are ready to cover the shape with patterned paper and embellishments!

Check back next week for another wonderful home decor project geared toward keeping your children organized this school year!
