Gallon, Quart, Pint

by

Nope, this is not a shopping list. Gallon, quart, pint is a design concept that can help bring balance to your scrapbook layouts. The idea is to balance your use of color by using a lot of one color (gallon), some of another color (quart), and a tiny bit of a third color (pint).

In this layout, I used a gallon of cream, a quart of brown, and a pint of bright color (teal and punch).

This design principle can also be applied to cards. Here I used a gallon of green, a quart of cream, and a pint of orange.

The next time you create a layout, try using the gallon, quart, pint principle to add balance.
