by

Framed photos, everyone has them, they smile out at you from dressers, desks, and decorative shelves.  You have larger photos on the walls and you always make copies to send to friends and family.  You enjoy being surrounded by family, friends, pets, and the scenery of past vacations.  Photos can remind us of who we are and where we came from.  They help us to savor sweet memories of loved ones we have lost.  Photos are a vital link in teaching our children family heritage.  So what do you do with the ones you want to have in frames around your home?  You go out buy a nice frame that matches your decor, slip the picture in and you are done.  Well, not so fast, we scrappers have a whole stash of wonderful things to decorate those plain jane frames with!  Today I am going to show you how to gussy up a simple black frame from anywhere in less than five minutes!

Grab your leftover rubons, scissors, Rub-on Roller, a frame, a favorite picture and let’s get started!

Step 1:  Take the frame apart and CLEAN THE GLASS.  This is important or your rub-ons won’t stick!

Step 2:  Lay your photo behind your glass and decide where to position your rub-ons.

The Beginning

Step3:  Cut out the rub-ons you want to use and get going!  The most important part of this step is to rub them on very well with the front of the Rub-on Roller and then flip over the cling sheet and burnish them with the paddle end of the Roller!  Your will be much happier with the results.

Step 4: Reassemble your frame, slip in the picture, and display!  Voila!  In less than five minutes you have made your own custom frame!
