Technique Friday: Stretch Your Chipboard

by

Stretch your chipboard shapes by gently peeling them in half.  It will also cut down on bulk thickness in your layouts. I use this technique a lot when I need more of one chipboard letter. You can get a really nice mirrored look with your letters or shapes by painting the sides different colors. Try placing a pop-dot in between and offset the shapes slightly to create a shadow.

Here are the super easy steps.

  •  With your craft knife gently start to peel apart the middle layers of your chipboard.
  • Slowly separate the shape or letter into two pieces.

  •  Embellish your new shapes with paint, ink, or patterned paper.
